Gluten Free Vegan Pizza
Everyone loves pizza — at least everyone I know. But finding a way to prepare pizza when you are a Gluten Free Vegan is a real challenge! Jessica, who is the author of this post, decided to conduct an experiment using a chickpea flour base for her pizza. Sounded good to me! So here it is …
Pizza Base
4 tablespoons of chickpea flour
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon of salt
Coconut oilSteps
- Mix batter well
- Set aside for 1o minutes to let the bubbles rise to the surface
- Mix again and pour batter into a lightly greased pan
- Flip pancake once batter has firmed
- Place the newly made “pizza base” on a pizza tray – a tray with holes in the bottom is best, this makes the crust crispy
Of course, there are LOTS of topping for a Gluten Free Vegan Pizza that would taste wonderful! Mushrooms, olives, peppers and onions are my favorite …. but actually, there is no limit to what toppings you want to use. You can use tomato sauce or not!! And vegan cheese or not!! I have even had fruit pizza that I thought was rather tasty (will need to look up a recipe to share!).
