Quick Creamy Sauce for Anything
Easy. Gluten-free. Vegan. Free of all allergens. Versatile. And really darn good.
1 1/4 cups nondairy milk (I used flax milk, but would use any unsweetened, thicker nondairy milk)
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
2 tablespoons almond meal* (optional, I believe… see below)
1 tablespoon coconut flourWhisk together the milk, nutritional yeast, onion and garlic powders, salt and pepper. Here I added the almond meal, but when I added it to the pan with the veggies, it didn’t thicken enough, so then I stirred in the coconut flour. It was perfect thickness, which I think was with no help from the almond meal. I reckon you can just use the coconut flour and omit the almond flour, unless you wanted to include it for a bit of taste and nutrients.
